Growing up in the vibrant theatre community of Bloemfontein, South Africa, I got imbued with visual storytelling and a deep love for associative tales. Deciding to pursue a career in visual arts, I set my sights on the glorious city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Here I graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in 2006. Since then, I’ve been working as a graphic designer, photographer, video manipulator and art director on cultural, commercial and educational projects. I tend to focus on a layered style with an artistic sense. Characterize by captivating narratives to engage the audience through visual storytelling and research-based design.
Because of the nature of design and the general availability of an internet connection, global opportunities for concept development, collaboration and impressive design is now the norm. I’m not constrained to an office either to a geographic location. I frequently collaborate with international artists and travel the globe to meet with clients whilst working onsite or remotely. Currently, my portfolio includes clients in The Netherlands, South Africa and Hong Kong.
